Born under the stars, in front of a bonfire on a Baja beach, the idea of adventure was the focus from inception. Motobird Adventures is a motorcycle tour company for women riders and their friends, owned and operated by a woman rider. The plan to focus on women riders is about fostering a different energy than the majority of what the motorcycle industry provides. Women tend to be an afterthought in the motorcycle world, hardly given the time and consideration we deserve.
What Motobird Adventures Offers
Motobird Adventures offers tours that vary in length, skillset, and styles of riding, allowing something for everyone. There are long dual-sport tours that go the length of the Baja peninsula, testing our skills and providing that amazing feeling of overcoming a challenge. Shorter tours on all paved roads wind through California wine country and not only give riders who are new to traveling distances on their motorcycles a great place to start, but also provide a stress free, amazing experience for those who don’t have the time to plan their own getaways or spend extended time on the road. Tours are as short as 4 days and as long as 2 weeks.
Group Sizes
Our tours run with a maximum of seven riders. Our small and intimate groups allow us to have much more personal experiences and interactions with each other and the places we visit.
Destinations
We travel throughout California, Baja and even through Belize- which is an incredibly beautiful experience. Some of our tours are on and off road and others are on all pavement, I want everyone to be able to experience where we go and what we do. While we, of course, are riding for much of the tour, we take time to enjoy where we are with rest days and side trips.
Baja
During our winter tours in Baja, we get to experience the UNESCO World Heritage Whale Sanctuary of El Vizcaino. Getting up close and personal with baby grey whales in the lagoons where they are born. The mothers push their young calves up to our pangas and want our attention of splashing and scratches, they will get bored and swim off if we don’t provide it. The first time I touched one of these giant, intelligent animals, we made eye contact and my body felt electric.
In California we taste the amazing local wines, enjoy relaxing spa days and check out some amazing vintage motorcycles at museums.
Belize
Belize provides us with rarely visited Mayan ruins, caves, jungles, delicious locally made chocolate and a seemingly endless amount of waterfalls. We also visit botanical gardens, butterfly farm, and the incredible Belize zoo. The zoo is more of a rescue and education center than you might expect. Not to mention all of the natural beauty that we will see and feel. All of this while riding on some of the most amazing motorcycle roads available where ever we are.
